STC’s Veterans Club approached our class, asking if we could design a window cling to put on their front doors of the meeting room.
Planning
First, we went down to their meeting room and measured the window panes. There was a total of 6, and each side of the doors had different measurements.
The left-side panes measured 24.5 x 18.5 inches, and the right-side panes measured 24.5 x 22.25 inches.
Illustrator
I took those measurements and made separate artboards with them to make a sort of mock-up of what the finished item would look like.
We then each submitted our design to the club to see which one they wanted to proceed with.
Michael’s design got chosen, which is very apt since he is actually a veteran!
Applying Cling
When double-checking if each cling would fit in its respective spot, we found that they were too big by 1/8 of an inch.
We got out our cutting mats and exacto knives to cut off the excess!
