Every year, Southeast Technical College hosts a portfolio show for the media communication majors to strut their stuff in front of potential employers. Every year, the graphic designers each design their own identity for the show and vote on which will be used.
We’ll be looking more in-depth at the window cling I designed.
Planning
We had to measure the dimensions of the window where we wanted to put the clings. It came out to be 43.75 x 34.5 inches. So that is what our artboard will be.
The poster is the main basis for the rest of the media that will be put up/mailed out. We just resize and adjust as necessary.
Since this artboard is much more square than the poster, we have to squish/scoot the elements down.
Our logo and text box will remain the same size, but our top area will be cut off more. Since it’s more of an organic shape, it will not be as noticeable.
